I'm using Fedora 23 LXDE and since a couple days ago I'm getting that message often. When I try to open Youtube videos they keep loading forever, and when I try to open images on Deviantart I receive "This site can’t be reached. DNS address could not be found.". I'm pretty sure it's not my internet's fault because I just finished downloading a torrent.

Maybe some bad DNS configuration of your provider, or DNS entry of the domain you are trying to reach has changed. What can help is clearing the cache of your browser (CTRL+SHIFT+DEL), and then reload the page

It didn't work. I don't know what else to do. :(

ping works? I think something is wrong with the DNS server of your provider. You can also set DNS server manually, e.g. using Google's public ones: and Try that.

I spent almost eight years doing senior tech support for a major ISP. If you can't reach a site but everybody else can, it's either your machine or your ISP. You can easily find out if it's really down or not by checking here. At the moment, it's up for me if that helps.
