  1. click on my login name, upper left, to get to user profile
  2. click on notifications tab, there are numerous new unseen messages, yet I have no emails about this
  3. click on subscriptions tab, under Email subscription settings all items are set to daily. Email tag filter is set to 'exclude ignored tags' (default) which I don't really understand what that means. I have no ignored tags that I'm aware of.
  4. Under subscribed tags I have a bunch of items of interest

But no emails.

Back in the overview tab, email address is correct. There are no askfedoraproject emails in spam. I get plenty of other Fedora related (mailing lists) emailed to that address without problem.

Go to your Profile and click on Subscriptions. Select which items you want to be notified about and click on Instantly, then Update your settings.

I’ve never received an email notification from this forum and had the default settings which seem to be to receive daily notifications. So, … maybe it isn’t working? Reviewed all available settings and everything points to that I should in fact be receiving email notifications.

I don't understand this answer. I don't want to be notified instantly. I want to be notified daily, hence why I said in step 3 they are set to daily. But I'm not notified ever. Not instantly, daily, weekly, monthly. Never. Are you suggesting daily notification is broken and instantly is the only option that works?

Then set them to daily if you prefer. I have them set to instant, so that I can respond quicker, but they seem to be sent out four to six hours after the posts are made.

Looks like changing the setting to instantly worked, I did get a notification. Now I'm changing it back to daily and we'll see if that works now, it certainly didn't before.

This will give you something to be notified about, although you shouldn't get it until tomorrow.
