Hi,

I own an Acer Aspire E15 E5-573g-59CD. Since the last kernel installation that it´s not possible to suspend. I tried the systemctl command and the "pause" button from Gnome. I also get a message on boot that the chipset is unknown.

Can someone help me with this??

Thanx,

Pedro

First, we probably need some more information. dmesg should contain more detailed information. If it doesn't help you, can you post the relevant parts of dmesg output? Or paste it at https://paste.fedoraproject.org/

Second, try booting an older kernel. Does suspend work with it? Which kernel versions work and which don't?

Hi,

Thanx for the help. I reinstalled FC23 and immediately ran all updates with yum. It is now suspending perfectly. Doesn´t hibernate though. Don´t know why...

Thanx again for the help.

Pedro

You are using yum? I reccomend you use dnf instead. It comes with I believe fedora 22 and up and it is MUCH faster and reliable.

@RealPlayerCraft: Yes, yum is has been deprecated, but yum is automatically redirected to /usr/bin/dnf. So, same result. You can test it by typing something like yum --version
