Did I do something wrong?

I downloaded the ISO file and installed it on my USB-stick with liveusb-creator. I selected 500 MB persistant storage.

But now, when I boot from the stick, change some things (install software and so on), after reboot with the stick it is all gone.

Is this a known problem to the spins? Or do I have to activate the persistent storage somehow?

PS: I have tried it with Fedora-18-i686-Live-Desktop.iso and it didn’t work neither. But it worked with Fedora-16-i686-Live-LXDE.iso and Fedora-17-i686-Live-LXDE.iso as images. And it worked with

livecd-iso-to-disk --noverify --format --reset-mbr --overlay-size-mb 500 Fedora-18-i686-Live-LXDE.iso /dev/sdb1

Conclusion: It is not a problem of liveusb-creator (not with Fedora 16 and 17 images). Nor is it a problem of the Fedora 18 image itself, because it works with livecd-iso-to-disk. But then, why doesn’t it work? If I report a bug to bugzilla.redhat.com what should I select for package name?

Seems to be a bug in the ISO images. See bug report at bugzilla.

Some workarounds are mentioned in this thread in the forums.
