I downloaded the following theme: http://0rax0.deviantart.com/art/GNOME-Shell-Nord-214295138?offset=10#comments

I went into gnome tweak tool and selected it using the UI. It said nord theme was uploaded correctly, it comes up in my drop down, but when i click it there is no change.

This is the same for all themes I try to download and install from gnome-look.org. Thanks for your help

I can confirm that even after restarting the shell, the themes do not show up when installed via the gnome-tweak-tool.

I have filed a bug for this issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=908058

Note, that there are also a handful of themes for Gnome Shell packaged in fedora itself. I tried a few of them, and they seem to work fine: https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/s/gnome-shell-theme

Typically, to reload a theme after selecting it in the gnome-tweak-tool, you need to restart gnome-shell.

To restart gnome-shell,

  1. Open the gnome-shell run prompt by pressing "Alt + F2"
  2. Where it says "Please enter a command", type "r" and press Enter. This should restart the gnome shell, and your new theme should be applied.
