Sometimes after I suspend or logout I cannot connect back to the wi-fi and I have to reboot for it to work again. Doesn't happen aways, but its annoying when it does. I'm pretty sure it's not the wi-fi's fault.

when that happen open a terminal and try this:

sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

Another option might be that your network driver (wifi driver) is broken and doesn't support being suspended. Try running rmmod followed by modprobe to remove and re-add it. If that works it probably is your driver.

I do not recommend it but it is a solution, try using a previous kernel that works well with your wifi card
