Why does the Xfce clock have a delay when waking from suspend?

hi, why my clock time takes at least a minute to update the current time when waking from suspend? , i am using a xfce 17 32bit,

If you add orage clock there is an option to fix that if it bugs you (in applet preferences). It seems related to some power saving features if suspend for less than 5 hours. So you can turn them off for orage. Not sure if the basic time applet has same implications but it does not have that option. Another fix listed is to show seconds as well minutes

In spite of the workaround, I think you should look at the bugzilla of the project for existing bugs, and file one if not already filed.
