How do I get XChat (IRC app) notifications in Fedora 23, just like I had in Fedora 22?

When someone pings me on XChat, that tab in XChat turns blue. If I am in another window, I don't see that, so I want a notification blinking.

This worked on Fedora 22, but not on Fedora 23. If I go to Fedora -> settings -> notification, I can see that XChat notifications is "on", yet they don't show up.

Why you don't give it a try to hexchat? It's recommended by Fedora Community and the latest new for xchat was on 30-May-2010 quite old:

there is another way, I found some years ago a xchat plug-in writing in perl that do the work is not from my authory, I upload to GITHUB for you, because I can't find it:

Just save it in the ~/.xchat2/ Directiry, load in xchat an voala...
