How can I notice that official documentation is obsolete?

Specifically, in http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/17/html-single/Installation_Guide/index.html, section "10.4.3. Booting into a Graphical Environment" there is an explanation about configuration of runlevels in /etc/inittab. I believe nowadays this is no more used, because Fedora 17 implements systemd. How can notice this so that it could be corrected in Fedora 18 installation guide? Thanks!

Good catch! This will be fixed for the next version of the Installation Guide. In general, it is wholly appropriate to report bugs against documentation. Each Guide has a section dedicated to this in the preface
