Hi,

I own an Acer Aspire E15 573g 59cd, and it comes with a wireless adapter. Unfortunately, Linux Fedora Core 23 doesn support this adapter. I am completely new to linux. Running a dual boot with Windows 10 64-bit. It seems there is a fix, and itś possible to use the adapter with linux!?!?!

Please, help!

Best regards,

Pedro

You should install rpmfusion.org free and nonfree, and look for the modules there, hope that help.

Found this magic trick here: http://www.spinics.net/linux/fedora/f...

$ sudo  mkdirhier /usr/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA9377/hw1.0

$ cd /usr/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA9377/hw1.0

$ sudo wget https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/raw/master/QCA9377/hw1.0/board.bin

$ sudo wget https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/raw/master/QCA9377/hw1.0/firmware-5.bin_WLAN.TF.1.0-00267-1 -O firmware-5.bin

$ sudo wget https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/raw/master/QCA9377/hw1.0/notice.txt_WLAN.TF.1.0-00267-1 -O notice-WLAN.TF.1.0-00267-1.txt

$ sudo reboot

That got my QCA9377 card working on Fedora 23 kernel 4.4.3-300.fc23.x86_64 after recompiling the kernel with backported drivers twice did not work for me.
