How would it be possible to extend the desktop of a Fedora Linux computer over the network to some remote Android device?

I read something about the use of VNC or through specific applications.

This was an interesting question. I hope you’ll find this an interesting answer:

  1. On your PC, go to System Settings: Sharing: Screen Sharing and enable it
  2. On your phone, go into Android Settings: About phone, and tap ten times on the Build number
  3. Go back to Android Settings: Developer Options and enable Stay awake while charging
  4. Download a VNC client from your favorite Android app market, and connect to your PC

Note that GNOME’s VNC server, which is what you’ll be using here, can be a bit unfriendly to clients so you may need to try out a few to find one that works with it.
