Fedora 23 "Software 3.18.3" Updates not refreshing package lists?

In Fedora 23 "Software 3.18.3" Updates doesn't seem to be refreshing package lists. I either need to open GNOME Packages and select refresh package lists before "Software 3.18.3" registers any packages for update.

You should try cleaning up the cache and files and the see if it works. 'dnf clean all' will do it.

i think "software" only refreshes package lists every xx hours. Or maybe it's another scheduled program that refreshes the lists. i had the same issue and now use "sudo dnf update" in the terminal. and just recently i found a tool here on ask. that checks afterwards, if a reboot/restart is needed. It's "sudo needs-restarting" and checks, if any running programs or services have new updates.
