[SOLVED]Recent updates fails on fedora23. Software installer gives message "failed to lookup digest keyring"

It goes through the process of updating, but gets to 14% and then fails. I'm not really sure where else to look to find more information about it.

This normally happens when you have third party repos having some problem (missing GPG key, path, etc), like chrome or dropbox. Take a look at /var/log/dnf.log eventually to discover which one gives you the problem. Also, update your system from command line to see more inf:

dnf update

Trying to update a single package in Fedora will probably work fine, so disable the third party repos and update your system. Afterwards correct the /etc/yum.repos.d/xx.repo file accordingly.

Thanks for your answer. I do have chrome installed so it could be that that's giving me the problem. I will take a look at the log file as you said and see if I can get more info

It was chrome causing the issue. Once I resolved that I was able to update without any issues. Thanks again for your answer.
