Hello guys,

I re-installed Fedora 23 and after performing all updates (including th eupdate from Kernrl 4.2.3 to 4.3.3), I can no longer build the Broadcom STA driver.

When I try to perform make clean, I get the following output:

[acostache@localhost hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_271]$ make clean
KBUILD_NOPEDANTIC=1 make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd` clean
make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/src/kernels/4.3.3-301.fc23.x86_64'
CFG80211 API is prefered for this kernel version
/home/acostache/Downloads/hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_271/Makefile:85: Neither CFG80211 nor Wireless Extension is enabled in kernel
make[1]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/kernels/4.3.3-301.fc23.x86_64'

By looking at the output, it seems that CFG80211 API is not enabled in the kernel.

What I did so far:

  1. blacklisted the other wireless drivers that were attempting (and failing) to load: b43 and bcma; I have also confirmed by dmesg command that they no longer load at start-up
  2. configured CFG80211 kernel module to load automatically at start-up by adding the corresponding entries in the /etc/modules-load/; I have also confirmed via dmesg and lspci | grep cfg80211 that the CFG80211 kernel module loads.

Even after this, I still get the same error. Any ideas?
