Using:

  • Fedora 23
  • gnome Version 3.18.2
  • gnome-software utility 3.18.3

What I did:

  1. I installed "Planner" from "gnome-software" utility. The installation never finished.
  2. Then the office menu desapeared from the top menu, and every thing desappeared from the "Installed" tab on the gnome-software.
  3. I went to /usr/share/applications, moved a new "kde4" folder to tmp (it contains the "planner" application desktop files)
  4. I restarted gnome and the OpenOffice applications appeared back to the Office menu again.

The problem:

  • The "Installed" tab on the "gnome-software" utility continues being empty.

Do some body know how to diagnose the problem?

Thanks

mmm Gnome Software was designed for Gnome, and need specific icons/themes from Gnome... Maybe you can refresh the icons... try it...

su
dnf -y install
gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/
gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/applications/

Unninstaling Gnome Software and reinstalling it again via dnf did the trick
