What is in kernel-modules-extra and when do I need it? The package description simply says "less commonly used modules," but is that documented somewhere? I use Traffic Control. Do I need it?

You can list the files included in this package when it is not installed with

repoquery -l kernel-modules-extra

or install the package and list the files with

rpm -ql kernel-modules-extra

To answer your question, it seems there are some more schedulers in this package for traffic controll. So, depending on your needs you might want to install it.

Hi, not my question, but for f23. it seems to be: sudo repoquery -l kernel-modules-extra because it states, that repoquery is "outdated".

for Fedora 23, the command now is:

sudo dnf repoquery -l <package name>
