iOS hotspot and runlevel=3

What is the simplest way to connect Fedora 23 on runlevel=3 (not using GUIs) to iOS 8 wifi hotspot?

Fedora have issues connecting to IOS wifi hotspots. Tethering using the cable would be the simplest method.

nmcli is your friend here. Its actually not too difficult to set up and enable a new connection.

nmcli radio wifi on
nmcli dev wifi rescan
nmcli dev wifi list
nmcli dev connect iOS_SSID password iOS_HOTSPOT_PASSWORD

and you should be in.

nmcli is very powerful and there are a number of howtos;

Networking/CLI is very good
