What has happened to Eclipse?

When I got back from the holidays I did a normal dnf update on my workstation. Unfortunately Eclipse became completely useless after that, extremely slow, F3 might take somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds, pop-up windows (like ctrl-t) didn't work anymore, the scrollbar was jumping all over the place.

I am the only one?

I then downloaded Eclipse directly from and continued working.

One can't really say. I suggest you file a bug and let the eclipse maintainers look at it

When you ask such questions or file bugs, you should at least specify the following information:

  • Fedora release that you're using
  • The versions of eclipse that are affected
  • What eclipse packages you have installed: rpm -qa \*eclipse\*
  • Anything else that you may consider relevant - output logs and the sort

Without this information, not even the package maintainer can give you a good answer.
