Hi all!

Recently I installed Fedora 23 as Cinnamon desktop, and I would like to ask, that how do I know if the video card is already installed? If i check the system information, i can see: Video Card - NVIDIA Corporation G72M [Quadro NVS 110M/GeForce Go 7300]

Is this means that the driver have been installed? Or how do i otherwise check?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That means that you have a Nvidia Card and since it is Nvidia the Nouveau which is a free software version of the Driver installed by default on Fedora. But if you like to know if the module is loaded and active you have to open a terminal and do

lsmod | grep Your_moudle name

lsmod will list all modules loaded, the grep part limit the list to the module name in this case you should change that for Nouveau.

If you want to install the Nvidia propietary module then search on ask Fedora on questions about that, there are many solve ones that will help your with it.

Ethernet driver name will change depending on your network manufacture. For ethernet you should use lspci | grep net to see manufacture, if wireless lspci | grep Wire there you will get the model and can look for the module name on google

thanks, you could use ifconfig to see all network interface ( enp0s25) , then ethtool -i enp0s25 to see driver name in use

If it is nvidia video card, run in terminal command

nvidia-settings

and will open dialog box if does not opens then driver is not installed

If video card is amd then run in terminal

amdcccle

and also opens dialog box
