My old video card failed. My dealer installed a new one. Apparently my version of Fedora doesn't recognize my new one; my 24" 1920x1080 display is back to 800x600. New card is GT610 PCI-E 2.0 (GForce I believe). I looked at NVIDIA site; got new driver. Installation instructions a bit daunting; involves rebuild of kernel.

Guidance to an easier way to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks

Fedora 13 was EOL'ed in mid-2011, you might want to start by updating to a newer version. Newer kernels include the nouveau open source kernel module for NVidia, you might just work out of the box. Supported chipsets are listed here: http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/FeatureMatrix
