Hey folks,

I have Fedora 17 right now, with a Microsoft Lifecam VX-5000. This is an HD webcam, capable of 720p in Windows.

It appears to work for the most part in Fedora; however, it seems a bit darker than usual, and the video appears stretched vertically, so I look like an egghead.

It seems to work fine in Ubuntu 12.04, so I was wondering if someone could create/find a driver that works as well as Ubuntu.

Hi @Daniel, Some have solved this problem with v4l2ucp

How to install v4l2ucp?

From a terminal:

su -c 'yum -y install v4l2ucp'

You can see the options devices to flip vertically and horizontally or another.
