Hi all I need for installing the latest haskell compiler ghc-4.7.2

while running sudo ./configure

checking for path to top of build tree... utils/ghc-pwd/dist-install/build/tmp/ghc-pwd: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have all gmp related things installed from the repository

I searched for with find / -name 2>/dev/null and nothing came up

I also checked the web all over and nothing came up.

How can i get this file?

I'd recommend you wait for the fedora update. I see there's a bug filed: rhbz#830595

If you cannot wait, I'd suggest looking the the spec file for build steps. The spec can be found at: -> click on package sources.

'sudo ./configure' ? As root ? No. is provided by gmp-4.3.2-5.fc16 and there is not in Fedora 17.

In fact:

$ rpm -q --provides gmp
gmp = 1:5.0.2-6.fc17
gmp(x86-64) = 1:5.0.2-6.fc17
