I am running Fedora-23 and want to change my desktop graphics display from 1024 X 768. How do I do that? Thanks

What desktop environment are you using?

Also check the command xrandr or install the graphical frontend arandr. You need to know what's the max resolution your card is able to provide, and have a minimum decent graphic card drivers installed

If you are using Gnome (the default DE), go to Settings>Displays (or run gnome-control-center display in a terminal) and click on the monitor. You'll see a dropdown menu with all possible display resolutions.

I have now the same problem also. My screen is an ASUS VN279 and Settings>Displays I can only choose the above mentioned resolution 1024 x 768. The ratio should be 16:9 instead of 4:3. What to do ?
