Can you explain your problem in a little more detail? Assuming you are using the standard Fedora desktop (Gnome), you should have Movie Player (totem is what Movie Player is aliased to) installed. If that isn't installed you can install it by using either typing in "software" in the shell overview, or using yum in the terminal. Assuming you have enabled the rpmfusion repos, you can also grab the various gstreamer plugins needed to play whatever formats you want. If you don't want to use Movie Player you can then grab mplayer (I'd use Gnome Mplayer if you're using Gnome), or VLC, or any of a number of players. However, if you are in the US or Canada (even parts of Europe, IIRC), there are some legal issues you should be aware of before downloading said codecs. If you want to playback these things legally in the US/Canada you can buy codec packs from, IIRC, Fluendo. Having said that, nearly everyone just downloads whatever playback codecs they need (even windows/Mac users), and I've never heard of anyone ever being prosecuted for playing back content they own with codecs they haven't paid for.
