Asus Zenbook UX305 volume very low

I have a Asus Zenbook UX305 running Fedora 23 Beta, and previously Fedora 22. I have noticed that the volume is very low on both 22 and 23 Beta, even at 150% the audio is difficult to hear. I also have Fedora 22 working on a Macbook Pro and the volume is good. Is this a software/driver issue on the Asus and/or Fedora, or is it just that the Asus volume levels are poor on all platforms?

I have resorted to using a Bluetooth speaker, but this seems to make the whole ulra slim book concept void! Also for a computer that boasts Bang & Olufsen technology stamped on the case it seems a little odd that you have to use an external device to hear anything.

Hopefully I am missing something simple, all help greatly appreciated!

Hi, what's the result trying with any other GNU+Linux distribution? Using a Live media should be enough for testing this out.
