I've installed Fedora 22 on a few machines over the past few months. I generally don't use desktop icons, so I leave the icons disabled. But I have noticed on my laptop that I have a Computer, Home and Trash icons, however on my Desktop PC, which is set up in a similar way I do not have these icons. If I check in Gnome Tweak tool, the icons are disabled, however, if I enable the icons there I get a second set of icons which sit on top of the 3 icons which were already there.

Can anyone give me an idea how to find what is putting them on my desktop and disable them? Whenever I search about this all I find are posts regarding turning them on/off from the tweak tool.
