gnome-shell oddity

Periodically gnome-shell goes all weird. The main symptoms are seen with the clock and weather extension (though the latter is only newly installed but showing the same behaviour).

At random time intervals the extension will fault and in the case of the clock will only display the time, in the case of the weather extension it will either reset to the default location (Cambridge MA) or "Unknown Location". Restarting gnome-shell will generally fix it, but it happens every hour or two. A fresh reinstall did not fix the problem.

The version of gnome and Fedora that you're using would be useful information for someone trying to troubleshoot your issue. Please consider including it in your question description.

This is probably a problem with the extension itself. I'd suggest reporting the issue with extension author. If you run "journalctl -ba" You should see an exception in your log that will be useful for diagnosing the problem.
