hello, I am not a fan of KDE but I need the tools that come with scientific 22. Is there a way to get rid of all the KDE related things and install gnome instead but without deleting any of the tools or is there a way to install the scientific tools on workstation 22? please and thank you.

You can install Gnome alongside with KDE, no problem at all. But you can also install Fedora Workstation and then install the groups and packages included in the Scientific spin. Take a look at the kickstart file:

https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/spin-kickstarts.git/tree/fedora-livedvd-scientific_kde.ks?h=f22

HTH,

Germán.
