How to retry abrt report after closing all abrt windows

asked 2015-09-06 10:56:26 -0500

I tried to report a kernel bug using abrt when it popped up on my desktop, but I entered the wrong bugzilla password, so it failed. Then I misunderstood the next dialog box, so I entered another guess at my password, instead of re-entering my bugzilla username which was what it wanted. So I gave up and pressed cancel. There was no retry button that I could see at that point.

I closed the abrt applet because Firefox had crashed and I thought that it might be related to having abrt open.

Now I can't even figure out how to reopen abrt. I tried killing abrt-applet and re-running it manually, but nothing happened.

I found mention in RHEL docs of a tool called abrt-gui, but it doesn't seem to exist any more in Fedora 21.

It is gnome-abrt from command line, or click Activities and type abrt, then you will see the Problem Reporting icon.

I don't know if there is a gui written for KDE...

That's no better, as I use Xfce. All I ever do is go to the System Menu and run the Automatic Bug Reporting Tool, aka abrt.

Nobody says what desktop is using so I have to guess here haha, but I tried the two most popular :)
