sound not working with Fedora 17 in a iMac 20"

I have fedora 17 installed in 3 Mac computers: a 20 inch iMac (early 2009 model), a 27 inch iMac (late 2009) and a 13 inch MacBook (early 2011). While in the last 2 the sound works without problems, in the 20 inch iMac I cannot gel the sound to work, either in the speakers or in the headphones. I have tried the common measures with "alsamixer -c0", "/etc/modprobe.d/local.conf", "pavucontrol", etc., without success. All visual indications of sound (mute, volume up and down, in the Mac keyboard, volume bars in pavucontrol) are OK. It is probably something simple. Does someone have an idea, about what could be the problem?
