I'm using Gnome 3 on a Lenovo Thinkpad W540 with a monitor attached to it. I want to be able to suspend when I close the laptop's lid. I followed the instructions I found around the internet, but it looks it's not working for me.

I've set the systemd/logind like this:

# grep -i handle /etc/systemd/logind.conf
HandlePowerKey=suspend
HandleSuspendKey=suspend
HandleHibernateKey=hibernate
HandleLidSwitch=suspend
HandleLidSwitchDocked=suspend

I also set it in Gnome Tweak Tool: image description

I have to mention that suspend does work when the monitor is plugged out.

Also, pushing the power button to suspend does not work in any of the situations: with or without the monitor.
