Hi,

I have a problem with high cpu when suring the web with Chrome. Have also tried Firefox and Midori, but get the same problem. The fan goes from comfortably 1900 ish rpm to noisy 3000+ rpm. It's not just media content I get high cpu from, It can also be when I'm just browsing a news page. It's the same for Chrome, Firefox and Midori.

I'm running Fedora 22 on a Thinkpad X201, i5 cpu, 4GB ram, SSD HDD. I just bought this machine second hand to use as a Linux laptop. Everything runs out of the box, have not installed any extra drivers. Could It be the missing intel graphics drivers causing the problem?

Would be greatful for any reply on this matter. Fedora runs great except for the high cpu while surfing the web and It looks like I will be changing this to my primary machine If I can figure out the high cpu problem in the internet browsers.

Check if you have installed mesa-libGL if not install to see if that helps

Thanks for the reply. I checked mesa-libGL and it's already installed.
