WiFi with latest kernel

Hi, I have just simple question. I like to keep my system updated, so today I updated to kernel version 4.0.8. Only working wifi package I had was kmod-wl, which worked last I think with 4.0.5 kernel (this is not even in three last bootloader kernel versions). So how can I make wifi work in Fedora 22 with fully updated system?

Thanks

You need to use akmod-wl instead of kmod-wl so it will update your wifi module when updated, please remember to install kernel-devel.

Good luck.

I have akmod-wl installed together with broadcom-wl (maybe that's problem?):

Package akmod-wl-6.30.223.248-8.fc22.1.x86_64 is already installed, skipping. Package broadcom-wl-6.30.223.248-2.fc22.noarch is already installed, skipping.

But still there is only wired option in top right drop menu and pressing wifi button on my laptop don't do anything either

Please review that you have installed kernel-devel also make sure you do not have UEFI secure boot disable.

happen to me also. installed the akmod-wl with latest kernel, but failed when doing modprobe wl then back to use the previous kernel 4.0.7-200.fc21.x86_64 , all seem fine now. waiting till someone fixed this.
