My wireless interface does not exist and thus my computer cannot connect to or even detect wireless networks. I am running fedora 20 from my usb stick with persistence, so I am not sure if or how I can install drivers. I have broadcom 4331 chip and am using a macbook pro (mid 2012). Here is some info about my computer.

[root@localhost val]# lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net
01:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM57765 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe [14e4:16b4] (rev 10)
Subsystem: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM57765 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe [14e4:16b4]
    Kernel driver in use: tg3
    Kernel modules: tg3
02:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4331 802.11a/b/g/n [14e4:4331] (rev 02)
    Subsystem: Broadcom Corporation BCM4331 802.11a/b/g/n [14e4:4331]
    Kernel driver in use: bcma-pci-bridge

If you need anymore info I will be happy to provide it. I have checked out other broadcom questions but the difference is that nobody has posted a question about broadcom 4331 and fedora 20. Also, I am booting fedora 20 from a usb with persistence.

Well you need to install nonfree and then install akmod-wl so it will install the broadcom kernel module, issue here is it need to be compile with every kernel update. The other thing is not sure it will be added on a USB stick with persistence.

this doesn't really seem to affect much. I still have no wireless interface and can't detect wifi. I think I'm going to use a distro that doesn't have this issue.

Well good luck with that, issue here is not Fedora but Broadcom that do not release free its modules for the kernel.

installed a few mods and one of them definitely worked because I have wifi access now!

just looking at other broadcom questions (even for other versions of fedora or maybe even other versions of broadcom wireless cards) and doing what those said to do helped me. My case isn't really as unique as it seems i guess.

Good that it works.
