Started fedora upgrade on my old laptop. Everything went ok, first upgraded from fedora 17 to 18 than 19. Everything was fine. But when I upgraded from fedora 19 to 20 I can't login in graphics mode, only in console (with ctrl+alt+f2). In xsession-errors I see messages like can't start KDM (I am on KDE desktop). Also in console all cyrillic letters are not printed (see only placeholders like white squares), may be this be the cause.

With regards to Cyrillic fonts in the console (text) screens, you may be able to recover via something like:

   ls /usr/lib/kbd/consolefonts/
   setfont /usr/lib/kbd/consolefonts/UniCyr_8x16.psf.gz

The exact font might be something different to work for you; this one “should” work if your $LANG environment is UTF-8 (Unicode), which is common but not universal.

As for graphics:

You might try yum distro-sync and/or yum upgrade to make sure your packages are consistent. package-cleanup --problems may point out some things that could be causing trouble.
