Hi all, I recently did the update to F22, and I'm a long time KDE user. I have several questions that I can't solve. At this time the more important are:

  • Many widgets that I had are no more working, e.g. temperature monitor.
  • Network monitor is there but is hogs CPU and the temperature of my laptop raises to much. I removed it.
  • Several icons in the system tray are missing: Skype, CheckGmail, Transmission.

Does anyone know of a good replacement for CheckGmail? I'm using now a Firefox extension "Gmail Notifier", but it's not the same. I don't have a visual indicator in the systray.

I found that KDE5 is not quite ready for end users like me. I almost switched to Gnome but finally I finally did the effort and solved many problems and I'm back with KDE again now. I wonder if it was a good decision for Fedora to switch to KDE5 at this development stage.

Probably it was not a good idea, IMHO. Thanks for your persistence and for reporting bugs to the benefit of lazy/freeriders like me who only upgrade when all bugs have been fixed!
