Hi,

I'm making a custom Fedora Spin for my needs, which I'm booting from a live ISO on my hard drive.

I'm using livecd-creator to create my live ISO, but my problem is I can't figure out a way to include modules in the initramfs on my ISO.

I've tried adding overlayfs with dracut after the ISO is created, but the kernel version in initramfs is different.

Is there a way I can include the overlayfs/overlay filesystem in my live initramfs, so I can use a custom hook to overlay my root filesystem with a directory on the hard disk to make my live ISO have persistent storage.

Welcome to ask.fedora! That's an interesting question, and I wish I could give you a definitive answer. Alas, I can't, but I suspect that it has something to do with dracut. The best advice I can give you is to go to the Dracut Wiki because if the answer isn't there, at least you have pointers to the appropriate mailing list and/or IRC channel. Good luck with this, and don't forget to tell us how things work out.
