I installed libdvdcss from here http://rpms.famillecollet.com/fedora/... and enable rpmfusion free repos for f22. So VLC can play dvd movie disks without problem, Totem/Videos can't..the disk start spinning but no output. Should I wait for an update or did I do something wrong? Many thanks!

still can't do it, even after today update. I understand fedora can't carry libdvdcss for obvious reason, but I can't stop expecting a 2015 OS to be able to play dvd movie in an easy way. I was trying to settle on Fedora for installing it in friends/relative's computers.. I'll probably settle on Korora when version 22 will be realeased (only reason, they must have a gnome 3.16 experience). Also some dvd movies are not showing up in Nautilus (or nor Desktop icon -they're enabled-). Should I fill a bug report in your opinion? Many thanks

Yep. You should file bug reports and post them here. FYI, I have zero problems with DVD's.

thanks mether, in my case some dvd movies show up in nautilus, some not. I'm talking about original dvd disks here. And I can't play them in totem/videos. Can you do that? How did you install libdvdcss? thanks

yum install gstreamer1-libav gstreamer1-plugins-bad-freeworld gstreamer1-plugins-ugly

hi and thanks, those packages are already installed in my f22 system and dnf says are from the repos @system, so I may think they were installed by default during the OS installation.. or I think so :)

Does anyone know if the OP issue could be related to the fact that the DVD player is new and never used under windows (so no region set yet)?? You know that setting is not registred in the firmware 'till you play an encrypted dvd under Windows/Mac (using default applications, not VLC). Thanks
