1600x900 resolution on Yoga 3 Pro
I am now running Fedora 21 on a Yoga 3 Pro with 3200x1800 native resolution. Since not all apps are aware of the HiDPI config sometimes I find it necessary to fall back to a lower resolution. The tricky thing is that the only resolution setting with 16:9 aspect ratio is 3200x1800, while all others are 4:3:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 3200 x 1800, maximum 32767 x 32767
eDP1 connected primary 3200x1800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 293mm x 165mm
3200x1800 60.00*+ 48.01
2048x1536 60.00
1920x1440 60.00
1856x1392 60.01
1792x1344 60.01
1600x1200 60.00
1400x1050 59.98
1280x1024 60.02
1280x960 60.00
1024x768 60.00
800x600 60.32 56.25
640x480 59.94
I have tried to use xrandr:
xrandr --newmode "1600x900_60.00" 118.25 1600 1696 1856 2112 900 903 908 934 -hsync +vsync
xrandr --addmode eDP1 "1600x900_60.00"
xrandr --output eDP1 --mode "1600x900_60.00"
but the screen just go back to 3200x1800 after a few flickers.
Could anyone help me on getting 1600x900 work?
Use 1600x1200. If you aren't going to use the native resolution, at least stick with the native aspect ratio.
Did you find a solution? I have the same problem i have yoga pro 2 and cannot get the correct resolution.
