Please help, I've just installed Fedora on an old arcade machine but at GDM it only says, "Please Insert Coin to Continue". The only thing is I have run out of quarters. Is there any other way of logging in?

It's not well known, but on arcade machines this is controlled by the value in /etc/credits. Every time you drop a quarter in, the system increments the value and every time you log in, it decrements it. You can't log in at all (except in single-user mode) unless you have a positive credit value, and it's reset to zero at boot. All you need to do is create a shell script that sets the value to some high number, make it executable and run it from /etc/rc.d/rc.local as that will run after any residual credits are zeroed out. Once you've done that and rebooted, you should be able to log in and out without spending any more money.
