Hey guys, I wanted to give Linux a try, so I installed Ubuntu first, and I noticed that the wifi was super slow (on the same laptop with windows it used to be very fast), and then I thought maybe it is Ubuntu's fault so I installed Fedora, which I am loving, but the wifi speed is the same as in Ubuntu. can anyone from you geniuses help me out, because I really like Fedora, and I don't want to ga back in Windows, but I might have to because of this wifi speed, I mean it is 2015 after all...

Ohh and I also tried to use this solution:

git clone http://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new.git
cd rtlwifi_new
make
sudo modprobe -rv rtl8188ee
sudo make install
sudo modprobe -v rtl8188ee

but whenever I write the make command, I get this message:

make -C /lib/modules/3.17.4-301.fc21.x86_64/build M=/home/Betim/rtlwifi_new modules
make[1]: *** /lib/modules/3.17.4-301.fc21.x86_64/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
Makefile:53: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

ps. If it helps, Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188EE Wireless Network Adapter

Are you intentionally running a very old version of the kernel (3.17.4-301)? Try fully updating your system and see how things look after that.
