I bought a previously-owned laptop with an Intel i7 CPU, and would like to find out exactly which model of CPU is inside. How is this possible with Fedora using the Fedora 21 Xfce spin?

Try this:

Terminal Commands (in case the link ever goes down):

1) cat /proc/cpuinfo

2) lscpu

3) dmidecode -t 4

Plus others which require extra packages.

In a terminal:

less /proc/cpuinfo

EDIT: This seems to only valid for Gnome, not XFCE.

Look for "Details" in "All Settings"
