I have never used beesu but when I need to change folder/file permissions I use a root Nautilus window. No need to install beesu. Just run sudo nautilus to open a Nautilus window as root. This will open a window in the root's home folder (i.e. /root). You can open the window in the current working directory of the terminal with sudo nautilus ..

Be very careful. With a root Nautilus window you can change and delete ANYTHING. I usually only use it to give a user permission to write in a volume mounted at /mnt or in any other user's home folder.

EDIT:

You can also specify the directory you want on the new root Nautilus window by adding it after the command using standard Linux directory syntax. For example sudo nautilus ~/Downloads/ and sudo nautilus /mnt/shared_partition/.

Also, as pointed out by FranciscoD_ in the comments, you can use the commands chown and chmod for managing ownership and permissions from the terminal. You can take a look at these guides on the use of the commands:

http://nersp.nerdc.ufl.edu/~dicke3/nerspcs/chown.html

http://ss64.com/bash/chmod.html

It works in F21, but IIRC it used to not work; and this is why many would suggest using beesu.

Just throwing chmod and chown into the mix here - for people who can handle the command line ;)

Open a terminal and install the following packages:

sudo yum install beesu
sudo yum install nautilus-beesu-manager

After you have installed the packages above, you run nautilus-beesu-manager to configure how you want to use Beesu.
