how to install AMD Radeon HD 6770m

hello everybody,

i installed fedora. but I didnt install the graphics card.

fedora 21

gnome versiyon : 3.14.2

kernel : 3.18.9-200.fc21.x86_64

how to install AMD Radeon HD 6770m ?

The open source graphics drivers for that graphics card work well and you should not have to do anything special to get it working.

That being said if you need the proprietary Catalyst driver for newer 3d games it is not updated enough to run on Fedora. Fedora is considered a bleeding edge distro, which means we advance as linux software advances. AMD usually only releases a few driver updates per year, and they are perpetually behind on Linux technology.

In my experience, Catalyst has more bugs, but does have ~10% better performance than the open source drivers and does support more graphics features. There are ways to get Catalyst installed on Fedora, but no doubt they will cause problems with updates in the future.

So if you still want to try, here is a link to a guide on how to get Catalyst installed. Again, I don't recommend it.
