What partitions are there on my drives?
I have a Samsung 840 EVO 120gb SSD and a WD 2TB drive in my computer. I used automatic partitioning when setting up Fedora and Fedora is the only OS on my computer right now. I need to know the partitions that are on each of my drives.
When I look in /home with the file manager, it says that there is 1.7Tb free space which means it must be on the 2TB mechanical hard drive where it belongs. However, when I look in the root of the file system (/) it claims that there is only 52.7GB total capacity (12.2GB of which are used and 37.8GB of which are free). When I look in GParted however, the mecanical drive is setup as /dev/sda and has 3 partitions, /boot/efi (which is 200MB in size), /boot (which is 500MB in size) and a partition referred to simply as "fedora" which is 1.82TB in size which I assume is the /home partition. There is another drive labelled /dev/sdb that is marked as 111.79GB in size which means it must be the SSD. Now comes the confusing part -- there is a single 111.79GB (entire SSD) on the SSD where the OS files ('/' but without '/home') belong there is a mystery partition that doesn't show up anywhere in the file structure. Also, the '/' partition which is apparently 52.7GB in size does not show up in GParted.
I need to install a Windows 7 (I don't own a Windows 8 licence) dual boot to run some programs (virtualbox is not an option, the programs need access to various bits of hardware such as my Nvidia GTX 770). What should I do to ensure that I can install Windows 7 on my computer without data loss? I can't backup any data due to a lack of a place to back it up to.
