Hello FedoraProject! I have a HP Prem AF webcam running on Fedora 21. I am attempting to record video games with a friend over Skype (I am willing to use a different VOIP solution if needed). To do this, I am using simplescreenrecorder. Right now, the only even partially working setup I can get is to have the Skype audio played through the speakers then picked up by the webcam's microphone then recorded. The problem with this is that my voice comes out significantly louder than my friend's, hence making terrible recordings. I tried what is documented here but when I change it slightly to work with a webcam (without doing so there is no microphone audio from me whatsoever), I need to turn down the system volume so much, so that I don't stutter and trip over my words do to hearing myself, that everything becomes inaudible (both the final recording and the person on the other end of Skype). I am interested in a solution -- probably a separate screen recorder -- that can be installed as a yum repository/package so that yum update works with it, can correctly record both system audio from VOIP (it's a plus if it records the game audio as well), and can record in 1080p 60fps with a reasonably compressed format.

You should look into JACK you can use it pipe and combine together different inputs and outputs. For a GUI way of doing that, install QjackCtl it should install JACK as well if I am not wrong. Using it, you should be able to combine different input sounds and then make the capturing software get the input from JACK. Also for a different screen recorder you can check recordmydesktop and it's GUI is qtrecordmydesktop (or qt-recordmydesktop) and respectively gtkrecordmydesktop (or gtk-recordmydesktop).
