I used to rotate my screen halfway using xrandr -o inverted and it worked fine until I updated to fedora 21. Every time that I rotate the screen the whole screen becomes blank. It shows my cursor, but I can't see anything else. The problem doesn't occur when I rotate it 90 degrees though. Any ideas on why this is happening and how to resolve it?

I'm using the mate desktop environment.

UPDATE: When I switch to a shell (with ctrl+alt+f2) and then back to the GUI it shows the screen without a problem!

Check the journal using journalctl to see if it gives any messages and errors. It's quite difficult to diagnose the issue without any information

@FranciscoD_ Thanks for the comment. I checked the journalctl but it doesn't show anything related to this problem. the last rows are from last time I connected to a network and nothing adds to it when I rotate the screen. Are there any other places that I can check for errors?
