How to get USB Ethernet device working
I recently took the Linux plunge (having a bit of experience, but not much, on Ubuntu about 7 years ago). I have a Lenovo Thinkpad S1 Yoga running Fedora 21. I've succesfully got everything to where I need it, except for one main issue I'm having (so far).
I normally use this Aluratek USB 3 to Gigabit adapter when I need to connect to a wired network. It worked perfectly on the old Windows 8.1 setup. However, absolutely nothing happens when I plug it in on Fedora. I really don't know where to start.
Any help? Thanks
Does the output of
lsusb
show that the device is recognized as connected to your system? If not, have you tried other USB ports on the system?
