Have you installed RPMFusion codecs?

Use Fedy : https://satya164.github.io/fedy/ or EasyLife ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/easylife-linux ) or PostInstallerF ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/postinstaller/ ) if you just want a very simple solution.

Welcome to Ask Fedora. You have to be more specific and provide more details in your question. Are you not able to play in Video Player or is it in your Web browser?

I would recomend you to enable the RPMfusion (rpmfusion.org/Configuration/) . To enable it, use the command: su -c 'yum localinstall --nogpgcheck http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm

Then run this command to install plugins and smplayer:

sudo yum install gstreamer-ffmpeg gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-bad-free-extras gstreamer-plugins-bad-nonfree gstreamer-plugins-ugly x264 smplayer

That will install various plugins and smplayer. That must play most videos.

First install RPM fusion and configure it with command as super user in terminal:

su -c 'yum localinstall --nogpgcheck http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm'

Second, update your system with command (as super user):

yum update

Now install codecs:

yum install gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-bad-free-extras gstreamer-plugins-bad-nonfree gstreamer-plugins-ugly gstreamer-ffmpeg gstreamer1-libav gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free-extras gstreamer1-plugins-bad-freeworld gstreamer1-plugins-base-tools updates gstreamer1-plugins-good-extras gstreamer1-plugins-ugly gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free gstreamer1-plugins-good gstreamer1-plugins-base gstreamer1

That is it. You can play most of the file formats..

This is just like the answer I linked to, and almost like the answer rat already posted. Is there some benefit to providing the same answer in different places, rather than maintaining one good answer in one place and referring to it?

I agree with @randomuser. But what happens to me is that sometimes I'm not able to see other answers due to moderation, so it appears that the question wasn't already answered.

I tried both solutions proposed to answer the original question. Neither of them worked for me. I'm running f21 on an ix86 machine with a Creative Labs SB0400 Audigy2 which worked fine with f20 before I foolishly embarked on this attempt to install f21.

The answers provided so far work for thousands and thousands of other people. Is there a specific video you can't play, so we can try to replicate?

Adobe flash player did not produce a version for F21. The only solution I've found is a App named "GNASH" which I have downloaded but have been unable to install. I need a solution or I will have to back up to an older version of Fedora or something else

You could install Chrome, that has a built in flash player.
