I have been using fedora alongside windows to try it out and see if i like it. after noticing that i have not used my windows partition in months, I decided that i wanted to uninstall windows, and add the free space that windows once took up to fedora's partition. is this possible? how would I do this?

I suggest you take a back up of the windows somewhere, you know just in case. Secondly, coming to the uninstall part, since you are using win7, I think it is safe to assume from my side that grub is the default loader in your system. In this configuration at hand, all you need to do is boot F21 workstation on your box. Then turn nautilus (File system) on and then completely format any partitions that contain the windows or related data.

However this in some cases has left behind the system memory taken up by the windows labeled as healthy partition of Windows for boot. Hence, I suggest to go through this link for a successful and complete removal of windows.

I must however warn you that if by accident, you delete linux partition, there is a fair chance that grub might help you rebuild your system back. It is good to take back up of entire system. That being said, the guidance given here is mostly generic in approach and I suggest you weigh your priorities. Thank you.
